Lone Star Languages proudly presents

There's a new sheriff in town

Your localization deputies

The fastest pens in the West. Nobody does it like us.

Takes you to the contact form. Spurs optional.

Howdy, partner.

Let's not beat around the sagebrush: localization is a rough frontier. Word counts that swell like a flash flood. Text drops at high noon on a Friday. ADR lines that have to fit a mouth flap tighter than a fistful of dollars. Wordplay that wouldn't survive comedy hour in a saloon full of half-witted drunks. We've seen it all, and we've ridden through every last bit of it. Some of it's still on our boots.

That's why you need the long arm of Lone Star Languages. We ride in, do the dirty work, and ride out — while you take a bow for another successful launch. We deliver early or on time, at or above target quality, at a price that won't clean out your saddlebags. If your project is comin' in hot, we'll take the heat. And when you make Lone Star your North Star, you'll never lose your way again.

Attention producers, publishers, and studio heads

Has your game been lost in translation?

  • Mangled by machine translation?
  • Left high and dry by a vendor who skipped town?
  • Stuck with dialogue more wooden than Uncle Jeb's peg leg?

You may be entitled to better localization.

Lone Star Languages is not a law firm. We're just real good with words.

Operators standing by! It's the two of us. We are the operators. Holler now

Meet the sheriffs

Two riders, no middlemen. You'll always know exactly who's handling your script.

Wanted

For outlawed genius

Stephanie SpoletiWriter, producer, translator

Stephanie is a writer, producer, and translator with a deep, abiding passion for languages. She especially loves grammar and assumes it was everyone else's favorite subject in school, too.

She holds a Fine Arts degree in media writing from the University of Southern California, and has written and/or edited for games such as Persona 5 Royal, Ori and the Blind Forest, Mario & Sonic, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, MapleStory, and Mabinogi — all from the most coffee-drenched corners of LA and NYC.

She has two bunnies and a snake. They live in separate rooms.

Wanted

For dynamite wordplay

Joshua MaloneCreative director, editor

Like a mad hatter doing a balancing act on a unicycle, Joshua is simultaneously a character channeler, pun purveyor, midwife of metaphor, and virtual world voyager. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese from Cal State Long Beach, but most of the time it's hanging up on his wall (to cover the single bullet hole; it is a sheriff's office, after all).

As former lead editor at Sega and Atlus, he's worked on 11 Ryu Ga Gotoku titles, 3 Shin Megami Tensei titles, and 2 Persona titles, to name a few. He's also helped produce indie comics with Immortal Studios and full-length novels from legendary wuxia author Shiao Yi.

Like a true Texan, he enjoys good beer and mowing the lawn. Sometimes both at the same time.
